Dr. William “Matt” Honea grew up in Haughton, La and graduated from Haughton High School. He pursued undergraduate studies in Animal Science at Louisiana Tech University and then received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. After graduation, Dr.Honea returned to Bossier parish where he joined a busy mixed-animal practice for 4 years. He then took the opportunity to join an equine referral hospital where he served as the primary reproductive veterinarian and gained valuable experience in surgery, internal medicine and critical care over 3.5 years.
Dr. Honea’s interests include soft tissue/orthopedic surgery,internal medicine, preventative medicine and ultrasonography. He strives to provide excellent patient care while making sure pet owners feel informed on all aspects of their pet’s medical care.
